Our primary service is to supply recreational activities to our members of the community  who are interested in the art of woodturning. within our club we have a group of talented wood turners who’s skills are in constant demand.

These people play a major role in the club community as teacher, demonstrator, fundraiser & handymen.

• Teacher ; we do conduct introductory, intermediate and advanced classes for club members. we also have provision for disabled persons to be active club members.
• Demonstrator; visits the community respite centres, senior days, society shows and local functions displaying how projects are turned to display the beauty of timber grain as a piece of art.
• Fundraiser; funds to keep the club going with modern equipment and are raised by generous donations of projects constructed by members and sold at various display days.
• Handymen; without these people to maintain and care for the equipment of the club the teacher, demonstrator & fundraiser wouldn’t not be possible.

By providing all of the above, our retired club members have an avenue of maintaining social interactions, retaining and developing new skill levels as well as the feelings of self-worth within our local community.
